With less than 48 hours to go before we set off on our vehicular jaunt to The Apple Isle, we took advantage of the end of daylight savings to...get up early anyway and head off to watch Lily play a trial game of football. The fact that the other team didn't turn up was not in the least bit frustrating.
As I made preparations for the final lawn maintenance of the Martin residence, some serious-looking clouds rolled in - just in time to dump several cold-showers worth of water all over yours truly. Safety goggles splattered with a delightful combination of lawn, rain and cobweb, I was mowing by touch towards the end (don't tell those OH&S guys).
We've made the staggeringly clever decision to down-size our car, just before an epic car trip. This will ensure even more family-bonding, as well as giving Jenny another Tetris-like luggage packing experience. Jenny is in full Organisation Mode, and has discovered the 'joys' of One Note (some electronic version of a notebook - now with tabs! Yep, I don't get it either).
